Louvers Manufacturing: Complete Process
1. Raw Material Inward & Quality Inspection
Our process begins by procuring raw materials (aluminium or steel) based on client specifications and design requirements. All incoming materials undergo a thorough quality check as per our internal QC policy to ensure consistency and compliance.
2. Coil Feeding & Sheet Cutting
Once approved, the raw material coils are loaded onto automated decoilers and cut into sheets of specific dimensions using high-speed precision cutters. This step forms the base of the louver panels.
3. CNC Punching for Ventilation Slots
These sheets are sent to our CNC punching machines where we create ventilation slots or patterns based on the airflow requirements of the application. This ensures both design functionality and precision.
4. Folding & Forming
The punched sheets are then bent or folded using press brake machines to form the desired louver profile—be it flat, Z-shaped, curved, or customized.
5. Welding & Structural Integration
Our facility is equipped with TIG, MIG, and Arc welding for aluminium, stainless steel, and MS components. Welding is used for frame reinforcement, brackets, or heavy-duty louvers, ensuring strength and durability.
6. Surface Pre-treatment Before Coating
To prepare the metal for powder coating, it undergoes a multi-step cleaning process:
– Acid Dipping: Removes rust, oil, or foreign particles from the surface.
– Clean Water Rinsing: Ensures deep surface cleaning.
– Air Pressure Cleaning: High-pressure air is used to eliminate remaining contaminants.
7. Powder Coating & Baking
Next, the louver components are taken to our in-house powder coating booth:
– Powder Coating: A dry powder is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the metal surface.
– Color Selection: Customers can choose from a wide range of shades based on project aesthetics.
– Oven Feeding: Coated products are placed on a trolley and moved into the curing oven.
– Baking Process: Materials are baked at 200°C, creating a durable, smooth, and weather-resistant finish.
8. Frame Section Cutting & Assembly
– Section Cutting: Powder-coated aluminium sections are cut to size as per the louver design.
– Louver Assembly: Louver profiles are attached to the side strips using SS self-tapping screws and pneumatic guns. These profiles are then mounted onto the section frame to complete the louver structure.
– Frame Welding or Riveting: For heavy-duty louvers, we also use spot welding or industrial-grade rivets.
9. Quality Control & Dimensional Inspection
Before dispatch, a final multi-point QC is performed, including:
– Dimension verification using calibrated tools, digital instruments, and laser guides
– Checking coating thickness, frame alignment, and airflow capacity
10. Export-Grade Packing & Dispatch
Once cleared, the finished louvers are packed with protective wrapping and seaworthy packaging to ensure damage-free delivery—especially for international shipments.
